The babies were all snug in their beds, the hubby was hugging his laptop while sitting in his La-Z-Boy and watching his bigscreen, while I, I was out there. I was running! I finally did it! I got off my fat arse and got out there and ran. It felt so good too!
Initially I was planning on doing a walk/run program. Walk 4 min, run 1 min and repeat 4 times. And I probably will do that, but tonight it just felt so great to get out there BY MYSELF! Well, sort of. I had the best darn running partner there ever was by my side (sorry Julie, not you). Molly dawg. That doggie has been running with me for gosh, I’d say about 6 yrs. The weather was great. 12 C and a bit rainy. Perfect weather for January. Truth be told ~ 12 C is the perfect running temperature at any time of the year. But in January its awesome!
In case you’re interested here’s a graphical representation of my run. Those dips, those are when my running partner decided to stop and sniff a tree or a lamp post, or a fire hydrant etc… (you get the picture).
Have I mentioned that I LOVE my Nike + iPod Sport Kit? It’s awesome and sure beats a GPS any day! When that voice announced “20 minutes completed” at the end of my run I was ecstatic. I hope one day this year to hear “Two hours completed” followed by good ol’ Lance Armstrong congratulating me. That would be tha bomb!
