!@(DCP_0023.JPG popimg: “Back to Sleep?”)Everything I’ve read about babies says they should sleep on their backs – in fact even Sierra’s Diaper says “Back to Sleep” on it. But I’m seriously getting delirious from my lack of sleep – today I was emptying the dishwasher, and tried to put the dishes away in my fridge! And my lunch? It’s been sitting in the microwave for 20 min now – I just rememebered that I nuked some Pizza for myself. You see, this kid WILL NOT sleep on her back. She absolutely hates it – she will scream, scream, scream. You’d think that I was torturing the poor kid to hear her scream like that. So for many weeks now – the only way she sleeps is in her swing, or on my chest. I am so freaked that something bad will happen to her if she sleeps on her tummy – but c’mon – look at her – doesn’t she look so peaceful on her tummy? Sigh – what’s a mom to do?

Shamelessly stolen from Chelle…
Ten years ago: 20 years old ~ Recovering from a wild night partying at Ye Olde Brunswick House, relaxing by the pool, working as a lifeguard dreading the days until University started back up in September.
Five years ago: 25 years old ~ Finally graduated from University, working a dead end job in a mail room, trying to figure out what to do with my life.
One year ago: 29 years old ~ Recently married, working two jobs to try and pay off enough debt to afford to start a family…
Yesterday: Spent the day with my hubby and newborn daughter – we even went to cheer daddy on at softball.
Today: Spent the day caring for my daughter, went swimming and did weights for the first time since I went into labour 6 weeks ago.
Tomorrow: I get to spend the day with my daughter, and make my softball comeback!

So, according to Jenny McCarthy in her book “Baby Laughs”, I blew apart my vagina just over 6 weeks ago. I couldn’ve said it better myself – it certainly felt blown apart for a few weeks afterwards. Almost like I launched a rocket from there. 3-2-1 Liftoff! For all those moms-to-be who may be reading this (Mrs Mogul), that’s a grossly exaggerated description. Ummmm – ok – maybe it’s not, but there’s no turning back now, is there? Hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to be able to have some drugs, I was not
Anyways, things are better now – it’s true! Time really does seem to heal all wounds. And according to Dooce, I have one of those robotic, adjustable vaginas. In fact mine is the type of vagina that can hum show tunes or fold sheets all by itself. Just yesterday it did all of our laundry – FOUR loads! Guess what? I’m ready to reconvene the procedure! You know, the procedure that is actually the type of procedure that got us into the situation that made reconvening this procedure so difficult, if you know what I’m saying. So since we don’t want any other little Sierra’s for a while, I’ve sent Cosmo Boy off to the nearest drugstore, like a nervous teenaged boy, to buy us some contraception. Tee Hee – I can’t wait for him to get home!

I still have milk. My Dr wouldn’t prescribe me anything – my milk supply problems are due to fatigue/anxiety and I must rest, rest, rest. My hubby is SUPPOSED to help with housework – we’ll see if that happens… Sierra is doing great – she now weighs 8lbs 5oz (she’s gaining 1.3oz/day). She “cluster” fed yesterday (every 2 hours) from 11 am until 9 pm (I’m exhausted) and then she slept for 5 hours in the night. Too bad I couldn’t – I just couldn’t get into a deep sleep ’cause I kept thinking I heard her cry. She’s sleeping now – so I shall take a nap too. I’m going to try and make it breast feeding 1 more week – I hope I can do this.
