Mindnumbing TV

by Janice

Last night I didn’t feel like thinking. Ahem – ok make that worrying instead of thinking. I’m always worrying, is milkies still enough for Sierra (she still won’t eat), why won’t she roll over? when will she crawl? how can I keep her entertained? am I challenging her enough? Blah, blah, blah – my mind is ON all the time. So last night I decided to shut it off, and what better way than by watching some mindnumbing dumb TV. The Bachelor – yes, I’ve been numbing my mind with that crap every season (along with Joe Millionaire and every other Reality TV show I can tune my TV to).

!@(E_SarahTravis_136.jpg popimg: “Sarah and Travis”)Did you see the show? OMG! What is with that Moana? Her comment “it rocked me to the core” – I think she was talking about the $ex with Travis, not what qualities that draw her to him. Could you imagine saying that to someone’s parents? Yes, Mr & Mrs Cosmo Boy, your son rocks me to the core. LOL! I guess she was like me and didn’t feel like thinking that night either. Cosmo Boy was all about Moana, especially after seeing each of the gals mothers (Moana’s mom is a MILF, not that I’m into women or anything, but you know what I mean). However, I’m glad Sarah “won” – why do we say “won” – it really isn’t a competition is it? A competition where a man is a “prize”? Some prize – a lifetime of cleaning up after him. Well, snice the goal was not to worry, I think the TV show helped me attain that goal – I went to bed chuckling at Moana and all of her stupid comments.

The Choice is… Blue?

by Janice

!@(PI171116038374950B.jpg:C http://www.presidentschoice.ca/FoodAndRecipes/BlueMenu/ProductsList.aspx/id/237/name/FrozenFoodsexcludingMeats “President’s Choice Blue Menu”)As you know I’ve been trying to lose weight – lose the baby weight and the extra 10 lbs I gained not last summer, but the summer before – you know the lbs, the lbs I gained BEFORE I got preggers. I’m 1lb away from my pre-pregnancy weight, which leaves me with 11lbs until I reach my goal weight. I’ve been working out like crazy: Mommy & Me Fitness 2 times/week and running 3 times/week. But the weight was coming off slowly – very slowly – at a rate of about 1/2 lb/week! Then I found these: President’s Choice Blue Menu Frozen Dinners.

New Running Tool

by Janice

!@(runningroute.JPG popimg: “Running Route”)So – have you ever gone on a run, and been unsure of how far you ran? Maybe you’ve been calculating your distance based on what you think your average speed is and how long you ran? If so, then you’re alot like me – I’ve been *guessing* how far I’ve been running for months years. You see, I’m far too cheap to buy a GPS – I hate feeling like the bionic woman when running – wearing a heart rate monitor, GPS, Mp3 player etc – arrrgh! That’s just not for me. I found the neatest toy on the web today that’s going to take the guesswork out of my training: www.gmap-pedometer.com. It is the coolest tool! Check this out – here’s the route I ran 2 times today: Route 1. I thought it was about 3km in total. But it turns out that by doing the route twice, I actually completed 5km, not 3! Which means… I’m fasterr than I thought!

BOO!

by

Hmmm… scariest? I think I must have blocked all of them from my memory. I know that the one time that I had to use the choking technique you learn at Infant CPR was pretty scary.

There were a couple of times in college in the older dorms that were possibly haunted that I was very anxious to get where I was going because of that supernatural feeling…

Hello :)

by

The scariest thing? That is a hard question… It could be on 9/11 when my husband was on a ship and someone called and told me a lie – they told me he was sent out to war when he wasn’t – I later found out the truth when he called. Other than that – being rear-ended by a MACK truck was pretty freaky….
