Get Your Head Right Ladies!!

Posted by Janice On November - 12 - 2008

It was with great sadness that I read Jon’s post last night. It saddens me as a fellow New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) fan that some of you would do that. Don’t get me wrong, I’m as big a fan as the next “Jongirl”, but seriously ladies, get your heads right! Although NKOTB being back on tour makes me feel fourteen again, acting fourteen is no way for us to behave! Chasing tour buses, *almost* causing accidents, stalking our Beantown 5 in Hotel lobbies, etc… is a sure-fire way to ensure that this is the last tour that Jonathan goes on.

When I met Jonathan it was by pure chance – he came to us! Our Corporate Box seats were on the same level as the 5* Meet & Greet, but you didn`t find us standing around outside the M&G room gawking, hoping to catch a glimpse of our boys. And when Danny walked past us we didn`t even scream and act all disrespectful. We cleared the way and let him past. Jonathan came to our box on his own will, and stayed and mingled with us as long as he did because we were cool, we weren`t screaming and grabbing at him (though I must admit I was so shocked that I couldn`t say anything except “OMG! I’m your biggest fan”). The NKOTB have offered the M&G’s as a way to allow us to meet them, to interact with us the fans on their own terms.

So please ladies, I beg you to act respectful, act like ladies, show the grown men that we`re big girls now!

I couldn’t agree more! Grown women acting like they are twelve is just not sexy. Great blog!

I actually saw someone on their way to a NKOTB Concert last Thursday while traveling on I-85 north in South Carolina.
I couldn’t agree more with the acting your age thing … yeah this will bring back alot of found memories of way back when, but you also have to act your age and be respectful to all around you at all times.
There is nothing that turns me away from women more than when the act like an inmature child … 30 something acting “teenie” major turn off. Regardless of the reason for it.

I totally agree you are 100% right, and for those of you who do not like what he wrote jon is a adult just like the rest of us. he is entitled to say or feel the way he does and it is up to us as nkotb fans to respect that.

I can’t believe that someone would act so irresponsibly!! Don’t get me wrong, I am a huge fan, but would never ever ever do anything to endanger their lives. That is so wrong!!

I had the opportunity to watch Danny, Donnie, and Jordan play softball when they went to Newport News around 1994 or 1995 and Jon came up to sit down but he stepped into a mud puddle and had made the comment about ruining his shoes, lol. But when he did sit down it was in front of me. But I wasn’t going to ruin the game and everthing I left them alone but just being there with them and watching them play was the highlight of my life. Jon is a very private person, I moved to MA to start a new life. While I was there I met Danny’s mom and really am sorry that she passed away, she was a wonderful person, she acctually gave me Jon’s address so I could take him the things I bought for him. So on his birthday me and my girlfrind took a cake and white tennis shoes just like the ones he was wearing that got ruined. So please respect the fact that if they have a chance to they will come and say hello, but please don’t go flashing your camera’s into the drivers eye’s, remember that is how Diana was killed so please remember they are real people and that is doing something that may seriously hurt or even kill him! I don’t even like to think about that so please act your ages and be happy that they are back together again.

About Me

This blog is about me – Janice, a wife, mother, employee, runner, softball player, internet addict and a completely obsessed New Kids On The Block fan. My blog title is about my running, as at the time this blog began back in 2004 I was a running mother-to-be, training for a 1/2 marathon. Part way through the pregnancy running became too uncomfortable for me leading me to slowly back off on my running. Now a days “Mom On The Run” is a reflection of how busy life has become caring for 2 completely adorable, yet “spirited” little girls while my hubby travels A LOT for business, though I do still run on occasion.
