For the past 90 days I’ve been getting periodic reminders from the hosting company of my other site to let my new that my domain name registration is about to expire and that my hosting is also coming to an end. Twice I emailed them and asked them what I needed to do in order to keep my site active, and TWICE they told my that they’d invoice me when it was time to renew… Guess what? I never received an invoice and today when I checked on my site it was gone! Finito, Austa La Vista, Baby! So I emailed them to find out how we could rectify the problem. This is what I wrote:
Hi,
I did not receive my renewal invoice in a timely manner, and now my domain has been suspended. I am extremely upset about this. I have asked two times previously how I could go about renewing my hosting and domain name registration, and each time you said I would receive an invoice renewal notice via email. PLEASE send me my renewal invoice so that I may pay it and correct this issue ASAP! Thank you!

Yep, no apology, and no re-issue of the mysterious “invoice” that I was supposed to have received (along with some great grammar, might I add). He just blamed the “stupid” end user. You know ’cause I’m WAY too stupid to check my BULK mail folder… Since I haven’t cleaned out my email in ages – I sent him screen shots of my email, both my Inbox and my Bulk folder, and asked him to PLEASE send me an invoice! (It’s too damn bad I hadn’t backed up my site, otherwise I’d just move to a new host!). I’ll keep you posted with my progress in this ongoing saga!

You should see if you can google a “cached” version of the pages. You might be able to find the majority of the content that way and rebuild from there.
