!@(cupcake.JPG popimg: “Cupcakes!”)Today I was bored out of my skull – what does a childless couple living in surburbia do for fun on the weekends? Truth be told we do nothing. Nothing at all. We got up at 8, had some pancakes for breakfast, tidied up the kitchen, then Cosmo Boy played Football on his PS2 and I fell asleep on the couch while “watching”. A few hours later my mom called (and woke us up) to tell us her computer was “screaming” at her (the fan on her power supply is dying). She wanted us to come over NOW and fix it. My loving hubby calmly told her to call a small computer place and that they would fix it. Now that we were all awake – the phone call even woke up CosmoDawg – what should we do? I decided we should make cupcakes – something I have NEVER done before. First off I spent 20 min in the baking aisle trying to find a “cupcake” recipe…. I finally asked someone. Gawd! I am such a loser! Who knew that cupcakes were made with a cake mix? Then I couldn’t decide which size of baking cups to buy – medium or jumbo? So I decided on one of each. My first batch of cupcakes were made with the medium cups, and my second batch was made with the jumbo cups…. Needless to say, I now have 12 regular cupcakes and 12 diet cupcakes – Betty Crocker definitely does NOT live here!

Congrats on your first attempt at cupcakes! You will need to
work on perfecting you skill. They are great for class
parties after your little one starts school, so you got a
little time. You might want to buy a muffin (cupcake)pan, that
way you can make 12 with one pan! Good luck!

I’m so deprived. My cat is an indoor cat (which is for the best, particularly since we live on the 26th floor) so he can’t do this job for me. I have to look out the window instead.
