Hmmm… scariest? I think I must have blocked all of them from my memory. I know that the one time that I had to use the choking technique you learn at Infant CPR was pretty scary.

There were a couple of times in college in the older dorms that were possibly haunted that I was very anxious to get where I was going because of that supernatural feeling…

The scariest thing? That is a hard question… It could be on 9/11 when my husband was on a ship and someone called and told me a lie – they told me he was sent out to war when he wasn’t – I later found out the truth when he called. Other than that – being rear-ended by a MACK truck was pretty freaky….

Scariest Thing

One time when my son was really little (and I didn’t have a car), we had gone to get groceries. My hands were full of grocery bags and when we got off the bus we had to cross a busy street.

We waited til the traffic died down a bit, but by the time we got halfway across the traffic had started again. I couldn’t hold his hand because I had about 5 bags in each hand, so I was expecting him to just stay by my side (as he was told to do).

However, at one point when I had stopped because a car was coming… he didn’t stop, he took a step forward. Luckily for me, the car that was coming slowed right down, and my son ended up stopping too, so nothing happened.

But by the time we got into the house and I got those bags down I was screeching and screaming and crying and ranting about safety and crossing the street, and yada yada yada, the way only a mother can

Christmas Cards – Pfffft

Let me see….if I had to choose between getting a Christmas card ready made with the family picture or a picture in a Christmas card, I’d have to say give me the picture in the card. Those either fit in the wallet or made in a size that fits a picture frame. Sadly though, the pictures I generally receive I really have no interest other than the initial, “Oh, that’s nice…my have they grown,” unless it is my nephew. Most go into the box until next year when I use it to let me know where to mail that year’s Christmas cards. My favorites though are the pictures included with the yearly holiday gloat letter. Ugh!

Just under the wire!

I got 2.5 hours and I can just make it for FFAF. Gosh I hope I’m logged in still. (checks the left column) Yup, its me.

Let’s see, what was the question again? Ah yes, I get a picture postcard from alot of people and I do like those alot. And I also get the wallet photos. I think in the end I like the post cards because the wallet photos are posed and don’t look like the people. The postcards are usually candid and fun and creative. But I like getting all pictures really.

No New Year’s resolution yet. Maybe some recyled ones from last year. I noticed also that when I think about resolutions at night (like now) I lack alot of motivation, but somehow in the late morning I can make some serious commitments. Maybe I just get lazy when I’m tired.

Ok, that’s it for my very lame FFAF.

wow.. I have not upgraded to 2.0 and it looks a bit different in here..

What would I prefer?? it depends on if i know the personl. If it is a friend or family.. then I would prefer a wallet size photo… the thing is, I actually get these things from people I have no clue who they all are! Like the landlord, dentist.. my husbands boss! LOL! I hate when I have to throw them away..

What do I prefer to receive int the mail at Christmas time besides money?

Hands down a family photo greeting card. It looks so cool in the scrap book or photo album. I don’t have to really do anything to it since it is speaking for itself. I usually reuse Christmas cards myself. I tear em up to make post cards for someone else. Is that bad?

Old new year resolution

Is it ok to recycle new year resolutions? I’m not the kind who likes to waste things, so I guess that makes it ok for me? ;p

For one, I resolve to procrastinate less. Things almost never get done, and by the time I lift my butt off the chair to do it, there is a high possibility that it’s too late to begin with. At least I’m now procrastination less than before, but it’s still not nowhere near the target I like. Well, I’m working on it, and the way I look at it, I’ll still be working on it come 2006.

I have no idea what to write but I am here.

I was hoping that by the time I was able to figure out my password, that I would have something cool and inspiring to say, but I don’t. Marie has a cool blog and here I am typing away with stream o’ consciousness drivel.

Ok, now I have it.

What am I thankful for? I’m thankful for the whole cool blogging community. I totally missed a very important anniversary this year. On August 21, 2004, I moved from Bl@gger, over to Complete Running, onto Mark and Aaron’s site. Totally free of charge and I’m not even Canadian! It was a really cool gesture on Mark’s part to make the offer and I’m thankful to him for doing it because 1) it freed me from the Bl@gger monster, and 2) it introduced me to a million other running bloggers just like me. Well, not just like me (because how strange would that be?), but going through stuff that I’m going through while I’m trying to learn how to run.

thanks for every meow

Up here in Canada, yesterday was just another Thursday, but I still have things to be thankful for. I guess the thing that I am thankful for the most is (and please — no mocking) my cats. I know that I’m rapidly turning into the old lady that has thirty cats and no sanity, but I really don’t know what I would do without these guys. As someone who does not have children, they are really all that I have to keep me grounded. They’re a huge responsibility, and the fact that I need to buy food and litter and toys for them sometimes keeps me from buying things that I really don’t need and certainly can’t afford. And I rarely get through a day without smiling or laughing at something that they have done, even when I have had the crappiest day in the world. I really don’t think that I can ask for anything more in the world.

Okay, my back is turned — you can mock now.
