Cottage Cheese Butt!

Cottage Cheese

On Saturday Brooke will be 8 weeks old (I think) and it’s about time I stop using her as an excuse for my cottage cheese butt, and muffin top, so tommorrow I start strollerfit at the local community centre with my friend Leah and her two kids. I can’t wait. It’s funny, my blog is supposed to be about being a mom and my running, but I’ve barely ran since the 5K I ran when I was 5 mos pregnant with Sierra and the 5K I ran when she was 9 mos old (here’s another link). Not because I don’t enjoy running anymore, but because I enjoy spending time with my daughters more. I’ve ran 3 full marathons, 7 or 8 halfs and the Around The Bay 30K (I can’t remember if I’ve done that one once or twice), so obviously I can be a bit obsessive about it. I need to get back to that, I need to lose 20 lbs, I need to find a balance between me time and time with my girls. This is where strollerfit comes in. It fits all of that criteria. I hope Sierra likes the strollerfit – if she does then I can try to make a habit of going on a morning walk with the girls every day, instead of huddling up to the ‘puter while Sierra destroys my basement while watching Hi-5 and Dora. It’ll be really nice next Spring when both Sierra and Brooke can sit in my double jogging stroller/bike trailer. I can teach them how to be kind to our environment by using it as a means of travel while getting fit.

So here are the stats:
Current weight: 138 lbs
Goal weight: 118 lbs
Lbs to lose: 20 lbs
Total distance walked this week: 0 (I’ll use my Nike + ipod thinging to record distance).

Oy! I just remembered! I have to FIND my runners before going walking or running! Yikes – that’s going to be a task and a half after moving….

    You go girl…

Okay, you meet all your goals and I’ll try and just get my behind out of bed tomorrow and just get my pitiful 2 mile run in….it’s a start….again. Sigh.

And I too need to lose the 20 lbs.

Fine, fine, I’ll go to the gym tomorrow. I’m checking out new blogs this evening in hopes of finding inspiration to eat more ice cream, and instead I found yours.

    Glad I did, though :)

118?!? That seems awfully thin. Are you really short or something? I always thought you were about 5’6″ or so.

Well good luck getting back out on the road anyway, whether you lose all you want to or not. I think once you are back into running, your body will reward you happy fitness. :)

Well, I keep talking to myself about losing weight or at least starting some exercise program, but by the time I get home from work, it’s the furthest thing on my mind. I’ve got a lonely new exercise bike sitting out there calling me.

You go! I am right there with you, except V is 15 weeks old and I am still not back to my PP weight. I am thinking of getting a jogging stroller so I can at least take V with me on my walk/runs *I don’t think I will ever be able to do a 5K but I am at least attempting this running thing. You can do it!! We can support each other.
