Uh, good friday? Not here, I’m stuck at work on this great festival of Purim… but anyway, living in one of the most Catholic cities in the south (New Orleans, LA, USA) makes it hard to ignore the fact that everyone taking off today made my commute a lot easier but when I got here…
Yesterday as I was going to leave my desk, in a rush because I live 30 minutes from work and I was late for something I had to attend with my wife, I spilt my lunchtime coffee ( at least what was left of it) on my desk and narrowly missed destroying my office keyboard. Try explaining away that one… Luckily I was able to quickly mop up the spill with some random paperwork left on my desk and zip out of the office to be late, as usual, getting home. Now, I sit at my desk typing away I notice my strangely colored paperwork and wonder how lucky I was to not ruin my work environment to much and create and interesting design in the coffee stain genre on my timesheet for last week… Dang it! At least I didn’t really need to know when I clocked in or out or even my hours as a copy had been turned in, but now I have used up my work karma for the day and will have to hope to save the day on someone else’s project in order to get back ahead in the karma department. Gotta love a nice ramble.
