Holy Crap! It’s WINTER!!!

017.thumbnail Holy Crap! Its WINTER!!!In my wonderful cubicle at work I have a wonderful view of our lobby – and well, that’s about it. So imagine my surprise this afternoon when I left work, a few minutes later than normal, to find that the world had turned into a winter wonderland. Yes – it freaking snowed! Needless to say I was REALLY late picking the kiddos up.

Hello! Old Man Winter! This is Janice calling, is your calendar on the wrong month? This is NOVEMBER! Not December!

I used to love the snow, and don’t get me wrong, I still find it quite beautiful. But that was well before I had to try and bundle wrestle two kids into snowsuits, hats, mittens, scarves, and boots twice a day to make the 9 minute commute to the daycare each day. Seriously – it takes me twice as long to dress them as it does to drive them! Sheesh!

So in an effort to make myself like the snow more, I’ve spent the night dressing up my blog for winter. Enjoy my new theme!

I can relate to that even here in the south. I saw on the news last night that at least for the last 6 years it hasn’t been this cold this early in the year. I know 25 degree F may not be cold to you, but people are about to freeze to death here.

Beautiful picture. I can’t imagine that amount of snow right before Christmas! I love the flakes on your site, btw :)

It looks great! I hate snow too. It’s pretty, but one day is enough.

Wow … no snow in north western Canada yet. Kids are anxious to get skiing. Hopefully soon.

We have “flurries” in the forecast right now for Friday morning. I am sure that chaos is ensuing at the local grocery store…

Doesn’t it snow like 9 months out of the year up in the Great White North?
