Max Spaniel: Dinosaur Hunt (Book) Review and Giveaway (5 Chances to Win!)

maxspanielSierra thoroughly enjoyed Max Spaniel: Dinosaur Hunt by artist David Catrow, the first book in an adorable new book series for kids ages 4-8 about a loveable dog, Max Spaniel.  In this book, Max is on the hunt in his backyard for dinosaurs. When he finds simple objects like a rake and a bicycle, he sees them as another piece of the puzzle.

Book_Spread_smallFrom David Catrow, beloved illustrator of the energetic Doggone Dogs and I Ain’t Gonna Paint No More, comes an equally entertaining picture book for young adventurers! Catrow’s text is simple and sparing, allowing his fantastic illustrations to shine brilliantly. The sketch and watercolour artwork is colourful and alive with movement and silliness.

If you would like to learn more about the book, or if you would like to purchase one yourself, you can find it at Amazon.com or Scholastic.com.

  1. If I still had little kids, I’m sure we’d check it out – I’d probably have it memorized, just like The Cat in the Hat. Don’t enter me in the giveaway, I’m too old and don’t have a lot of time for reading any more 😉

  2. Hi, Our two sons would really have fun with this book!
Such a delightful concept for a book. The jumbo-sized
magnifying glass would be a hoot. Please count me in.
    Many thanks, Cindi

  3. WOW!! All the posts. It’s bad you have to offer to give something away for people to want to comment on your blog. I don’t want to win. You don’t have to give me anything for me to read your blog and post a comment from time to time.

  4. Now, this is interesting, I had definitely entered this – or so I remember, and now my comment is missing. Hmmm, gremlins at work again. Oh well, here is little ol’ me wondering if I will be so lucky…

  5. Looks like a really special book for some lucky kiddos=)
Please enter me in the giveaway & thanks bunches for the giveaway!
