Big Girl Undies |
As most parents are celebrating the return of school today, we here at this household have a new reason to celebrate. Sierra is potty trained!
Sierra has spent 3 afternoons so far in big girl undies with no accidents, and all day yesterday with only one accident! Today we’re trying to go for her first full day accident free. She doesn’t tell me she has to pee yet – I just put her on the potty every hour and she usually goes the minute I put her on. She does tell me when she has to poop by saying, “Mommy I pooing now, hurry, hurry!”.
It’s bittersweet – I get to save $50/month on diapers, but I’m losing my baby girl. She’s so quickly becoming a big girl. But she’s not the only one becoming big girl….
Brooke’s New Bed |
Brooke has FINALLY gotten a bed. She’s been sleeping where ever she happens to fall asleep. Beside me, on top of me, in her bassinet, in her cradle, in her swing, in her vibrating chair… The poor kid! No wonder bed time has been a bit of a struggle. Grandma Smith bought a mattress and mattress pad for the crib that has been 1/2 put together in Brooke’s room for a month. I washed her new sheets, set up her mobile and voila! A bed! Judging from Brooke’s grin, she’s happy too. In fact she’s happily sleeping in it right this moment. Last night she slept in it for 1/2 the night, then I took her into bed with me to nurse her. Once again I fell asleep burping her and woke an hour later with her still in my arms

YAY! Great news. We got those same Dora undies for my 2 year old but it isn’t incentive enough. She will only go potty on her terms, typical 2 year old. I hope she decides it’s time soon.
Yay! Way to go Sierra, I’m so proud of you. Hurray for Brooke’s new bed. She seems to enjoy it.
Congrats to both happy girls!
Woo Hoo! I remember these days and this was a HUGE milestone. Congratulations Sierra!
And beds are good. Mommy’s need their sleep! Enjoy the crib.
Congrats on the potty training. Gotta admit – a little jealous.
Woohoo!! Congrats! I guess the chocolate worked
Did I tell you how I never potty-trained either of my kids? The babysitters I had did it all – so it didn’t seem like any big deal – I guess the did a good job of it.
