Although I haven’t worked out or exercised at all this year, I have managed to follow part of my New Year’s resolution – no snacking unless it’s a fruit or a vegetable. I must admit I didn’t eat too many fruits or vegetables, which means I also didn’t snack. I had one BAD BAD BAD day, in which I managed to eat McDonald’s for breakfast, Burger King for lunch and Swiss Chalet for dinner
But despite that one day I’ve managed to lose 2 lbs so far this year! Woo Hoo! Last Tuesday I weighed 136 lbs, and this morning I weighed 134 lbs! Yippee! My goal is to weigh 118 lbs (6 lbs less than when I got pregnant with Brooke) when I return to work on July 7th this summer. It looks like I’m right on track.
Now I just gotta start the exercising part of my resolution. I’m going to either run with Molly dawg from 7-7:30 pm each night (while the girls bond with daddy), or after the girls go to bed at 9 pm with a neighbour down the street who also wants to start exercising. Brooke typically doesn’t nurse between 7 and 8, but goes to bed at 8 pm. It’ll be nice if my neighbour wants to run with me, ’cause it’s a lot easier to work out with a buddy. Unless the buddy cancels on you all the time (I had one “workout buddy” like that once).
So, how are you doing with your resolutions? Are you making any progress?

I generally don’t eat enough fruits but my son loves apples and pears and bananas and I tend to eat his leftovers. It’s worked out well for me in that sense.

You’re doing well – I only ever have one fruit a day for breakfast and that’s about it; I don’t like fruit all that much.
So far I’m sticking to my resolutions. I haven’t started the weight thing yet, but I have started back to my normal workday eating routine so I’m bound to lose a couple of pounds of that vacation eating anything I wanted routine.
