I’ve Got Resolutionitis Again

It’s that time again – time to reflect back on the past year and figure out how to make next year even better!  Which for me means resolutions.  This year I’m aiming to trim the fat from everything in my life.  Get rid of the excess – the excess poundage, the excess clutter, the excess debt…

I have TOO much!

I need to get rid of things, so this year my resolutions are:

  • Lose weight (10-15lbs) by running 4 times a week, completing a 10K and maybe even a 1/2 marathon.
  • Have a garage sale and sell all of the baby crap and clutter!
  • Reduce our debt – get a line of credit to pay off credit cards, cut the cards up and begin to make some big payments!
  • Work harder at work – ask more questions, get involved and do more!

It’s hard to resist making some resolutions, isn’t it? Here are mine:

    1. Drink more tea (unsweetened – I’m finding various spicy teas that I enjoy without any sweeteners) and less Diet Coke.

    2. Learn to draw!

    3. Blog more frequently; network more actively :-)

I don’t have weight loss on here because it’s an ongoing goal and one that’s hard for me to pull off when I’m nursing. As Jake fully weans – this year I imagine because he’s weaned quite a bit already – this should be more realistic to accomplish.

Happy New Year! I like to make goals at the beginning of the year. A friend does them on her birthday instead. I think it is important to stay focused and goal orientated to achieve our true potential :)

I try no to ever make resolutions … because I don’t ever keep them.

I am planning on drinking more water and less Pepsi. About all I drank last year was Pepsi. (NOT GOOD)

Dropping about 10 to 15 pounds would also be a really good thing too. Just haven’t really planned out how I intend to do it yet. Your hubby’s eating diet sounds GREAT … got to find a way to count my calories.

I would love to run again, but knees and ankles won’t take the abuse. I thought about grabbing a bike and logging some milage. A guy I graduated with logged 9500 miles last year. GO ROBERT RECTOR!

The idea of setting up the running resolution, and then using that running widget on the side of your site, may be a surefire way to get the process occurring. The running statistics are visible by all viewers, so it is tough to be more accountable than that. It is also a step in the right direction for the future, as people are able to show more information about their exercise details, as well as the details of other habits.
