So now that I’m 2 days away from “running” a 5K, I’ve already begun to set my sights on other “races”. While perusing the ‘net for 5K’s in Toronto, I found this race:
Mommy Marathon 2005â„¢ is a stroller friendly walk run that includes 1K (kids only), 5K and 10K course. Pledges raised will go to support the Sick Kids Foundation’s important work in Palliative and Bereavement care
Hmmmm…. sounds like my kind of “race” – I bet it isn’t chip timed though , not that I’d really want to know what my finishing time is when I’m 30 weeks pregnant!
Oh yeah – I forgot to tell you! My Dr gave me the all clear for this weekend’s race! Cosmo Boy will be coming to cheer me on, and I’ll be running with my pal Rita who’s being kind of enough to lace up to keep me safe (safe from myself). Since I’ve actually only ran three 5K’s before (and seven 1/2 martahons), and only 2 of the 5K’s were timed, wouldn’t it be nice if I set a new Personal Best (PB)? It could even be a PPB (Pregnancy Personal Best).
