“Do or do not. There is no try.†-Yoda
There’s alway been one poem that has had special meaning for me. It comes from when I was making that all important decision about whether to go to University, or to College, or to do neither and just get a job (like my parents wanted me to do) . While
weighing my options waiting for a University acceptance letter, I came across the poem by Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken. Now if you aren’t familiar with it, you can find the WHOLE poem here. It’s the final few lines in the poem that has been stuck in mind for years:
two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Since the Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken has been a bit of a mantra for me, I’m going to follow it’s advice. I’m going to take the road that is less travelled by – I’m going to take the chance and run the 5K, after all, I run ALMOST that far everyday now (and I’m 18 weeks pregnant) – what’s another 7 min?
