I just read this over at the Chicago Sun-Times:
The Ashlee Simpson/”SNL” incident exposed an open secret in the entertainment business: that some singers who appear onstage aren’t singing live at all, or at least have their voices augmented by backing tracks.
A secret? It was definitely no secret to me! Who on earth goes to a concert and honestly believes the whole thing is live? If you do, I’m sorry if I offend you – but do yourself a favour – crawl outta that hole you’ve been living in!
